Puri: Wearing of mask has been made mandatory in Puri during the famous Rath Yatra 2022 said Bijay Kumar Mohapatra, Director of Health Services, Odisha, on Monday.
The security arrangements in and around the Srimandir, Gundicha temple, Badadanda has been tightened.
Various restrictions have been laid on vehicular traffic on the Badadanda and main roads of Puri. The entire set up will be managed through an integrated police control room.
It is noteworthy that, health camps will be set up in various crowded places such as Puri station, bus stand and Bada Danda.
Mohapatra asked people to be more cautious during the Rath Yatra.
The Director of Health Services urged people not to visit Puri if they are symptomatic and to watch the event on television.
