We will do ‘very well’ in 2019 Elections, says Naveen Patnaik

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s four-time Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday expressed his confidence and said that his party, the Biju Janta Dal (BJD), is completely prepared and ready for the upcoming elections.

The Elections Commission of India declared the dates yesterday. And the list of candidates for Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will be announced very soon, said the honourable Chief Minister.

“We will do very well in the elections. We are working very hard (for the upcoming elections). I can assure (you) that the BJD will do very well,” said Naveen Patnaik.

The Lok Sabha elections will be held in four phases in Odisha. The first phase will be on April 11 for Kalahandi, Nabarangapur, Koraput & Berhampur, the second phase on April 18 for Bargarh, Sundargarh, Bolangir, Kandhamal and Aska. The third phase will be held on from April 23 for Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Puri and Bhubaneswar, while the fourth phase will be held on April 29 for Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada and Jagatsinghpur.

Meanwhile, three MPs- Kandhamal MP Pratyusha Rajeshwari, Jajpur MP Rita Tarai and Bargarh MP Prabash Singh met the CM at Naveen Niwas. The detail of their visit is awaited.
