Sonepur: Plastic pipes worth lakhs has caught fire in Dunguripalli block of Sonepur district in Odisha on Sunday, said reports.
Lakhs worth of water pipes has been burnt and reduced to ashes.
A fire broke out in the plastic pipe heaped in Juberi Engineering Company in a field on the side of Longalkata Road in Dunguripalli block of Sonepur district.
The locals immediately spotted the fire and informed the fire department. The Firefighters arrived at the spot and contained the blaze.
The fire allegedly spread from a stack of hay that was stored on the field near the spot where the pipes had been laid down.
The blaze was so strong that the locals could not contain it.
