Bhubaneswar: Body of Odia Jawan Hemant Kumar Panda who was martyred in a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) arrived at Bhubaneswar airport this evening.
The jawan’s mortal remains are being taken to his native Atharang village under Begunia Police limits of Khurda district where the last rites will be performed tomorrow.
The 24-year-old martyred soldier was the only son of Pabitra Panda. He had joined the services three years ago and had got his first appointment in Rajasthan. The security personnel had come to the village three months ago in holidays before going to Jammu & Kashmir.
