A video has re-surfaced on the internet showing a man lying down comfortably with three cheetahs around him. The video is a clip shot in 2019 at a cheetah breeding centre in Bloemfontein, South Africa.
The man in question is Dolph Volker, an animal advocate and holds a degree in Zoology. He as a person is fascinated by animal behaviour and plans working on a Cheetah conservation project.
Volker took to his YouTube channel to post the original video back in 2019. He captioned the video: “I love when I know the answer to a question before it’s asked. Do cheetahs prefer cold concrete or warm blankets and company?”
Volker said that he was granted special permission to spend the nights with the three cheetahs since he had seen them grow up and had already had a well-built relationship with them.
In the video he says, “All are quite tame as they are groomed for the breeding program so when they have cubs, they can be monitored closely. An accepting and approachable mother allows that. There is a plan to release one of these cheetahs into a protected wild in the near future.”
