WATCH: Canal Embankment Breach In Dhenkanal Of Odisha, Locals Panic

Kamakhyanagar: The left side canal embankment of Rengali dam in Kamakyanagar of Dhenkanal district in Odisha has given way. A major embankment breach of around 30-feet has occurred near Lembupal village.

The canal water has rushed into the village giving rise to a threat of flooding. More than 50 families of the village are in danger.

According to reports, the embankment was weak since the past few days. A sudden rise in the water of the canal might have caused the breach said sources.

The villagers have however alleged that the administration has not looked into the matter even after being informed about the situation.
