Bhubaneswar: A private bus caught fire near Aiginia Chhak on the outskirts of the city here today.
While the exact cause behind the fire is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that somebody might have thrown a lighted cigarette inside the bus following which the vehicle caught fire.
A major mishap was averted as nobody was present inside the bus when the mishap took place. Besides, everyone those who were standing near the bus run for life.
Sources said that the bus named Phalguni was parked at the spot for a long time.
