Sanakhemundi: In a sad incident, an elderly man died after wall of his kutcha house collapsed on him in Pudamari village under Sanakhemundi block of Ganjam district last night.
According to reports, one Kora Gauda along with his family members was getting out of his house fearing downfall of the mud-walls which were in a wet-state following heavy rain in the area. However, a portion of the walls caved-in on him leaving him severely injured.
He was rushed to Digapahandi Community Health Centre (CHC) in a critical condition, however, doctors declared him brought dead.
Police, after getting information from some locals, went to the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
Sources at the police informed that Gauda’s body will be handed over to his family members after postmortem.
