Vigilance raids LAMPS Supervisor’s houses, property in Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur: Launching a crackdown on corrupt officials in the district, Vigilance sleuths today conducted simultaneous raids at the Jharigaon LAMPS (Large Area Multi-purpose Cooperative Societies) Supervisor’s house and properties located in four districts on charges of amassing disproportionate assets (DA).

As per the report, separate teams of Kalahandi, Nabarangpur and Rayagada Vigilance units raided the accused Supervisor Gayaram Mathia’s petrol pump located on Umerkote-Jharigaon road and his gas agency in Chacha panchayat in Nabarangpur district. Later, his houses located at different places in these districts were also searched by the officials who checked a number of vital documents and seized those.

While the exact amount of the disproportionate seized during the raid is not known, the assessment was underway by the officials till this report was being filed.
