Bargarh: In yet another anti-graft carckdown in the state, Vigilance sleuths raided the houses and offices of in-charge Medical Officer of Sohela Community Health Centre (CHC) Dr Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra located in Bargarh and Angul districts and unearthed movable and immovable property worth around Rs 2.47 Cr on.
Officials of the Sambalpur unit of Vigilance conducted simultaneous raids at Mohapatra’s residence and clinic at Sohela in Bargarh district along with his parental house at Chhendipada in Angul district and in-laws’ place in Cuttack following a Disproportionate Asset (DA) case against him.
During the raid, Vigilance sleuths recovered demonetised currency worth Rs 3.5 lakh in 1000 and 500 denominations from Mohapatra’s possession. That apart, documents of 35 land plots registered in the name of the accused doctor were also found.
