Veterinary official found dead under mysterious condition in Nuapada

Nuapada: Mystery shrouded the death of a Veterinary officer whose body was found lying near the railway track in Parasakhola village under Nuapada Sadar block on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Nayan Singh Majhi (55), the Deputy Director of Nuapada district veterinary hospital.

As per the family members of the deceased, he went out of home to look after his banana farm located near the railway track and didn’t return in the night. His body was recovered in badly mutilated condition near the track this morning.

Nuapada Town Police recovered the body of the officials later in the day with the help of Government Railway Police (GRP) for autopsy.

An investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of the death of Majhi.
