Kandhamal: In a tragic incident, a pick-up van rammed into a roadside tree in Baliguda in the Kandhamal district this morning in which three people including two women and a man, have been killed.
Reportedly, the vehicle was carrying more than 25 baratis of Ora panchayat under Kotagada police limits and was en-route to Madangi village. The Bolero car lost its balance over the wheels and rammed into a roadside tree.
As many as two people lost their lives on the spot while one succumbed while being taken to Kotagada Hospital. More than 15 people were rushed to the hospital in a critical condition. However, the critical patients have been shifted to Baliguda Hospital as their health deteriorated.
On getting the information the local police have arrived at the spot and initiated a probe into the matter.
