Bhubaneswar: In a development regarding the missing Plus 3 first-year student of Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya in Bhubaneswar, the girl has posted a video admitting that she has willingly fled with her boyfriend.
Reportedly, the father of the girl student, identified Subhashini Mallick, had filed a missing complaint stating that she has been missing since July 1. She posted a video on social media platform admitting that she has willingly fled with her boyfriend and is not missing.
“I am Subhashini Mallick, a student of Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya. I left the hostel voluntarily on July 1 and there was no pressure,” she said in the released video.
She has also said that everyone has been confused about her since the day she fled from the hostel and various rumors have been circulating on social media. ” I want to clear the confusion. I am in a relationship with a boy for a long time now. My family knows about it,” she said. However, Subhashini’s family allegedly did not accept her relationship.
She has further apologized to the college principal as well as the hostel authorities and has requested his father not to take any further action.
It is to be noted that even after the video went viral over social media, the police did not stop the process to trace them. The cops have been suspecting that there might be other reasons behind posting this video. Therefore, until her statement is recorded and she says the same in person, action will be taken on this matter.
