United Nations Awards Writer Sagar Pradhan as World Environment Day Hero

Bhubaneswar: Young Odia writer Sagar Pradhan, who has earned much applause thanks to his books- Internet of Things, Basic Java Book and A cup of Tea with Life has added another feather to his hat of success.

The United Nations lately has congratulated Odisha based writer and researcher Sagar Pradhan for joining hands with them by donating all his royalty money what he earns from his books and research papers towards various plantation drives for reducing air pollution.

And to acknowledge the contribution United Nations has awarded Pradhan with the tag ‘World Environment day Hero’.

Till date Sagar has helped in plantation of thousands of trees and has also funded restoration of twelve ponds during last six years.

The United Nations Environment Programme (UN Environment) has felicitated Sagar by conferring appreciation certificate as a World Environment Day Hero for participating in World Environment Day efforts and joining them in efforts to reduce and prevent air pollution.

Sagar has authored 7 books, 28 research papers and a number of short stories’ collections. Some of his notable books are: Internet of Things, Basic Java Book, A cup of Tea with Life, E-commerce and Enterprise Resources Planning, etc. His thesis papers can be cited in the official portal of International Association of Engineers, IAENG Society of Computer Scientists (Hong Kong), ResearchGate.com, IOT Council (United Kingdom), ORCID.org, Academia (USA), etc.

Pradhan is the recipient of Author of the Year 2019 (English) by StoryMirror Publication (Mumbai), Author of the Year 2020 (Top 10, Odia), Rotary International District 3262 Literature Award, Young Scientist Award 2018, Most Admired Writer 2020, and “Token of Appreciation” from Hon’ble Governor of Odisha Prof. Ganeshi Lal for his research and books.
