Unique! Professor Of KIIT University creates cost-effective device to control anxiety

Bhubaneswar: In keeping with the need of the hour and the fast-paced lifestyle, a Professor of KIIT University in Odisha has invented a perfect device.

This device is a cost-effective means to control and manage anxiety, a reason for most diseases these days.

Biswaranjan Acharya, who teaches in the School of Computer Engineering, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), along with his team, has come up with this unique device.

The device is fitted with a variety of sensors, configured to collect vital real time health data from the body and to evaluate the health condition of the user.

The device has left and right ultrasonic sensors, a pre-recorded voice generated unit, a visual sensor, a vibration sensor, a power backup facility and a microcontroller-based processing unit.

It also has an interactive unit and is configured to obtain input from the user and to determine the unit configured to access the mental state of the user based on vital data collected.

In case a person is anxious or feeling lonely, it will interact with him and ensure that the person is back to the normal mood.

It will also check the stress level of the user.

Professor Acharya has also invented a pair of gloves for the visually impaired that detects obstacles from a range of three meters.

This has been patented by the government of Australia.
