Bhubaneswar: An unidentified body has been recovered from a canal in the capital city, Bhubaneswar on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday.
Reportedly, the incident took place in the Gangua canal at the Chakeisiani area of Mancheswar.
The locals spotted the floating body and immediately informed the local police.
On getting the information, the local police arrived at the spot and recovered with the help of firefighters. The cops have also seized a scooty bearing registration number OD 33 V 8374 from the canal.
An investigation into the death case has been initiated. The real cause and the identity of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.
