Basudevpur: Tension prevailed in Basudevpur area of Bhadrak today after body of an unidentified youth was found lying near Coast Canal Chhak on the road connecting Dhamra under mysterious circumstances.
The incident came to light after some local youths spotted the body in the morning and called up police.
After police reached the spot and conducted the preliminary investigation the left cheek of the victim was found swollen with an injury mark. Similarly, a bag along with a blanket were also found lying by the side of the body.
While police have seized the body for autopsy, further investigation is underway in the case.
On the other hand locals have suspected it to be a case of murder from the circumstantial evidences.
