Cuttack: An undertrial prisoner passed away under treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital here today.
The deceased identified as Sunil Munda, passed away at around 6.50 AM under treatment, informed the hospital authority.
Munda, a resident of Joda area of Keonjhar district was cooling his heels behind the bars at Keonhar Jail had been rushed to SCB on June 27 this year. He was suffering from malaria and psychiatric illness.
A case of unnatural death has been registered at Mangalabag Police Station in connection with the death of the undertrial.
