Puri: An undertrial (UT) prisoner has died at a jail in Konark Road, Tikna. The deceased has been identified as Sridhar Das of Banki Muhana under beach police station.
After falling ill, he was rushed to the district hospital, where pronounced him brought dead.
Ramchandi police have seized the body and filed a case of unnatural death case. The body was autopsied in the presence of a magistrate.
However family member have accused a prisoner of beating Sridhar to death.
