Undertrial prisoner arrested on charges of rape thrashes own advocate in Odisha court

Bhubaneswar: In an unusual incident, an undertrial prisoner attacked his own advocate inside court premises here on Tuesday.

The accused has been identified as Jitendra Biswal.

According to reports, Jitendra, who was arrested on charges of rape, was in the court along with his advocate and family members. However, an argument erupted between the accused and the lawyer over some issue which took an ugly turn following which the accused thrashed and abused his own advocate.

Badagada police arrested Jitendra and sent him to Jharpara jail. The cops have also began an investigation into the matter.
