Ukraine-Russia War: 4 more Odia students return back home

Bhubaneswar: As many as four more Odia students returned back from Ukraine amid the ongoing Ukraine-Russia war.

Reportedly, the students landed by Indian Air Force (IAF) at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport under Operation Ganga.

All the arrangements for the Odia students were made at the Odisha Niwas in Delhi. Yesterday, 14 Odia students reached Delhi safely. Till now, more than 30 students have landed safely in India.

The C-17 Indian Air Force aircraft arriving from Bucharest in Romania, carrying around 200 Indian nationals from Ukraine, lands at its home base in Hindan near Delhi under the Centre’s mammoth rescue programme Operation Ganga.

IAF’s first evacuation flight with 200 Indians also landed in Delhi today morning.

According to the Foreign Ministry, there are no more Indian nationals in Kiev. The Indian embassy in Kiev has also been closed.

More than 20,000 Indians were stranded in Ukraine out of which about 60% have already returned.

It is to be noted that the Ministry of External Affairs on Tuesday informed that an Indian student was killed in shelling in Ukraine’s Kharkiv today morning, confirmed the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Twitter.
