Kandhamal: In a tragic incident, two youth were killed and two others sustained injuries after an electric pole fell on them at Kalingbadi village under Daringbadi police limits in Kandhamal district today.
The deceased has been identified as Ranjan Pradhan and Liku Pradhan. Locals said that the 11kv electric police fell on them while both of them on their way to a nearby pond to take a bath. Both of them were rushed to the nearest hospital where they were declared received dead.
“Two other youths present near the spot rushed to rescue them but they too came in contact with the live wire. They have been admitted to the nearest hospital,” said a local.
