Koraput: Two women Maoist cadres surrendered before Odisha DGP Rajendra Prasad Sharma here on Thursday.
The two Maoists who have been identified as Madi Sukanti and Kausalya Khila surrendered before the top cop of the state while he was in the district to attend a meeting on anti-Maoist operations and poll preparedness.
According to police reports, Madi was an area committee member, while Kausalya was a member of the Khila part. The two rebels were reportedly involved in several violent activities across Malkangiri district, officials added.
The duo will be rehabilitated and provided monetary assistance as per the Surrender and Rehabilitation Scheme of Government of Odisha, the police further informed.
