Balasore: Two women were allegedly gang-raped by three youths at a guest house in Sahabajipur under Talasari Marine police limits in the district.
Both the victims hailing from Bengal had been to Digha on Tuesday when the accused brought them to the guest house on the pretext of arranging accommodation for them. However, the three accused later raped the victims in the guest house.
“The victims claimed that the accused identified themselves as staffs of the guest house. The victims were spotted by locals who informed us and we rescued them,” said a police official.
Police said that they have sent both the victims for medical examination. “We have recorded the statements of the women and are also trying to nab the owner of the guest house who has absconded after the incident,” added the police official.
