Bhubaneswar: Capital Police today arrested two snatchers from Bhubaneswar and seized a cellphone and a motorcycle from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Sumanta Behera alias Raja (24) of Patanpur under Kanas police limits in Puri district and Sanjay Nayak (19) of Bandha Sahi in Odogaon police limits of Nayagarh district.
The duo was arrested on the basis of a complaint filed by Sakuntala Ojha (24) of IRC Village. Police said that the accused have snatched her mobile phone at Raj Mahal Square on June 25.
“Both of them were nabbed today while they were attempting to dispose of the stolen mobile phone. Further investigation is continuing to verify their antecedents,” said a police official.
