Bhubaneswar: Two Odias, who had gone to Saudi Arabia to earn their livelihood, have been allegedly implicated in a false case and now they are crying for help from both the Union and Odisha governments to return back to their homes.

According to reports, an agent had sent Muhammad Jalaluddin and Sheikh Imran of Jajpur to Saudi Arabia assuring them to provide office jobs. He had taken Rs 1.2 lakh from the duos.

However, Muhammad Jalaluddin and Sheikh Imran were not given any office jobs and were asked to work at a hotel. When both of them protested and tried to return to Odisha, they were allegedly implicated in a false case. As they do not work anymore, now they seek governments’ help as they do not have money even to eat food.

Social activist Dr. Arun Kumar Praharaj intervened in the matter and tried to bring back Muhammad Jalaluddin and Sheikh Imran and three others to Odisha. However, while three of them were released, both Muhammad Jalaluddin and Sheikh Imran could not return as a police case was filed against them before their return.

Dr. Arun Kumar Praharaj sought the help of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and senior BJD leader Pranab Das for the release of Muhammad Jalaluddin and Sheikh Imran. However, the Indian Embassy at Jeddah informed them that both of them have been detained by police as a case has been registered against them.

On the other hand, Muhammad Jalaluddin and Sheikh Imran claimed that the police is not taking any action as the owner of the hotel, where they were working is an influential person. Besides, they are unable to speak with the cops as they do not know Arabic. Therefore, they had requested the Indian Embassy at Jeddah to send an official or a lawyer to help them. However, they are yet to get a reply.

Finding no means of solace, Muhammad Jalaluddin and Sheikh Imran have now taken the help of social media. They have shared a video narrating their ordeals and seeking government help.
