Two new judges take oath in Orissa High Court

Cuttack: The Orissa High Court today got two new judges in the form of Justice Justice Satrughana Pujahari and Justice Akshaya Kumar Mishra taking the total number of judges to 14.

Chief Justice of Orissa High Court K. S. Jhaveri administered the oath to the newly appointed judges at 10.15 am in the new Conference Hall (old building) of the court. The swearing in was done in the presence of Cuttack Collector, Twin City Police Commissioner and Senior Judges of the court.

Justice Pujahari who hails from Orissa High Court had been transferred to the Madras High Court in November last year. On the other hand, the Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the appointment of Mishra to the Orissa High Court last week.

Prior to his appointment as the High Court judge, Mishra was serving as a Registrar of the high court. He is an OJS officer of 1988 batch.
