Two more flights from Jharsuguda Airport soon: Odisha Chief Secy

Jharsuguda: The Veer Surendra Sai (VSS) Airport in Jharsuguda will soon have flight services to two more cities of the country, informed Odisha Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy on Wednesday.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Regional Air Connectivity held at Lok Seva Bhavan here.

Talking to media persons, the Odisha Chief Secretary said two new flights from the Jharsuguda airport will fly to Bangalore and Kolkata.

With this, total of five airlines will operate from the airport.

The expansion of Rourkela and Jeypore airstrips was also discussed in the meeting, Mishra said adding that tender of Rs 55 crore for the airstrip project of Jeypore airport has been completed.
