Kalahandi: In a tragic incident, two minors drowned in a pond in Kuturuguda village under Biswanathpur police limits in Kalahandi district.
The deceased minors have been identified as Sushant(3), son of Gadan Majhi and Kusmita(5), daughter of Goura Majhi in the village.
As per reports, Sushant and Kusumita went missing while playing near the pond this morning. After a frantic search, the parents spotted them floating in the village pond.
They were immediately rushed to the Biswanathpur Community Health Centre (CHC) where the doctors have declared them dead.
A pall of gloom have descended at the village after the incident. The family members have registered an unnatural death case at the Biswanathpur police station. Police have seized the bodies and sent it for post-mortem.
