Rayagada: Tension prevailed at Rangamati village under Ramanaguda police limits following the death of two people in a road accident. Two people were killed in the accident while another one was injured in the mishap.
Eyewitnesses said that the accident took place when the victims travelling on a motorcycle had a head-on collision with a Bolero vehicle. The driver of the Bolero vehicle escaped leaving behind the vehicle.
The villagers later staged a demonstration demanding compensation for the deceased and arrest of the driver of the Bolero vehicle. Police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. Police are also trying to nab the driver of the vehicle after registering a case.
