Rayagada: In a tragic incident, two persons were killed while another was critically injured after two motorcycles collided head-on with each other near Champajodi village in Kashipur block of the district this evening.
The deceased persons have been identified as Govind Majhi of Lingada village and Parakita Nayak of Sanamatikana village.
Police identified the injured person as Lamba Nayak. He has been admitted at Rayagada Hospital for medication.
Sources said that the road mishap took place when deceased Govind was on his way to Kashipur along with his three of his friends on a bike had a head-on-crash with Parakita’s vehicle.
On the other hand, deceased Parakita and injured Lamba were returning to Sanamatikana from Kashipur.
Kashipur police, on being informed arrived at the accident site and started a probe after seizing the bodies and bikes.
