Balangir: Two youths died in a road mishap on National Highway 59 near Bamgomunda in the district this evening.
The deceased have been identified as Bijay Putel and Jitendra Putel. Police said that both of them were hit by an unknown vehicle.
“Both of them were rescued by personnel of Odisha Fire Service and were immediately rushed to the Kantabanji Hospital. However, both of them were declared received dead at the hospital. We are trying to identify the vehicle involved in the mishap,” said a police official.
Police said that the bodies will be handed over to the family members of the deceased after post-mortem.
