Two BJD MPs Included In Joint Committee For Personal Data Protection Bill

Bhubaneswar: Two BJD MPs from Odisha have been included as members of Joint Parliamentary Committee on Personal Data Protection Bill 2019.

BJD Rajya Sabha MP, Amar Patnaik has been included in the 10 member list from the upper house while BJD Lok Sabha MP, Bhartruhari Mahtab has also been included as a member of the committee.

Meenakshi Lekhi from the BJP has been appointed chairperson of the Joint Committee that will examine the Personal Data Protection Bill, 2019.

The Personal Data Protection Bill identifies and creates categories of what can be termed as sensitive data. The list of sensitive data has been identified as financial, health, home, family, religion, sexuality, personal life as well as political leanings – could be termed as sensitive personal data.
