Two Arrested in Khordha For Snatching Mobile Phones In Running Trains

Khordha: Government Railway Police (GRP) today busted a mobile snatching gang and arrested two members. Police have also seized 44 mobile phones from both the accused.

Police said that the duo was involved in several incidents of snatching of mobile phones in running trains for last two years. “The mobile phone of a passenger was snatched on Monday and he has lodged a complaint with us. During the investigation of the case we nabbed both the accused and recovered as many as 44 stolen mobile phones,” said a GRP official.

Police said that the duo used to dispose of the stolen mobile phones with mobile shops in Khordha Town. “ We have also arrested three mobile shop owners for receiving stolen mobile phones. They used to sell the mobile phones to truck drivers from other states,’ added the official.
