Twin City Police registers 15 NDPS cases, arrests 34 drug peddlers since launching ‘Operation White Spider’

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar–Cuttack Police Commissionerate has reportedly registered as many as 15 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) cases and arrested 34 drug peddlers.

The Twin City Police in a press release informed that it had launched a special anti-drug enforcement drive under the banner of ‘Operation White Spider’ on August 15, 2021. Since then it has seized 1kg, 95 gms 40 mg of brown sugar.

Besides, a total of Rs 4,81,270 cash along with 2 vehicles and 15 mobile phones have been seized from the arrested drug peddlers between August 15 and October 25, 2021

This apart, the cops also seized 1 revolver and 5 ammunitions from the arrested persons.

Sources said that the Commissionerate Police has decided to intensify further.
