Twin City Covid Update: Bhubaneswar reports 66 covid positive cases, Cuttack reports 7 cases

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has reported 66 new covid positive cases on November 22. On the other hand, Cuttack city (CMC area) has reported 7 cases. Both the cities registered a fall in Covid cases as compared to yesterday.

According to reports by BMC, out of the total 66 positive cases detected today, 16 positive cases are quarantine cases while local contact cases are 50. The positive cases linked with earlier positive cases are 16.

The total cases in Bhubaneswar now stand at 1, 20,621 while the total recovered cases are 1, 17,994. The total death cases recorded in the BMC is 1078.  Active cases in the city are 1528.

Out of the total 7 cases registered in CMC on Monday, 01 cases are from home quarantine, 05 local contact cases and 01 institutional quarantine cases.

Total Covid-19 cases in Cuttack city are 45,127 while the recovered cases are 44,495. The active cases today are 541.

In the last 24 hours, Cuttack city has reported 14 recovered cases informed while in Bhubaneswar 79 recovered cases were registered.

A total of 171 Covid-19 positive cases including 34 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 10,47,174 informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Monday.

Among the 171 positives, 98 are quarantine cases and 73 are local contacts.
