Twin City Covid Update: 63 new positive cases detected in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack reports 4 cases

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has reported 63 new covid positive cases as on December 12. On the other hand, Cuttack city (CMC area) has reported 4 positive cases today.

According to reports by BMC, out of the total 63 positive cases detected today, 21 positive cases are quarantine cases while local contact cases are 42. The positive cases linked with earlier positive cases are 21.

The total cases in Bhubaneswar now stand at 1, 22,343 while the total recovered cases are 1, 20,135. The total death cases recorded in the BMC is 1089.  Active cases in the city are 1098.

As reported on Sunday by CMC, out of the 4 new cases no cases of institutional quarantine or home quarantine was recorded. The local contact cases recorded today in the city are 4.

Total Covid-19 cases in Cuttack city are 45,282 while the recovered cases are 44,697. The active cases today are 494.

In the last 24 hours, Cuttack city has reported 5 recovered cases while in Bhubaneswar 91 recovered cases were registered.

Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department of Odisha government on Sunday informed that 160 new COVID positive cases including 20 from 0-18 age group reported in the State in the last 24 hours.

The I&PR Department informed that 160 cases include 94 quarantine cases and 66 local contacts.
