Twin City Covid Update: 49 new covid positive cases detected in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack reports 12 cases

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has reported 49 new covid positive cases as on December 26. On the other hand, Cuttack city (CMC area) has reported 12 positive cases today.

According to reports by BMC, out of the total 49 positive cases detected today, 9 positive cases are quarantine cases while local contact cases are 40. The positive cases linked with earlier positive cases are 9.

The total cases in Bhubaneswar now stand at 1, 23,311 while the total recovered cases are 1, 21,372. The total death cases recorded in the BMC is 1096.  Active cases in the city are 822.

As reported on Sunday by CMC, out of the 12 new cases reported, 6 cases of local contact case were registered. The total case from home quarantine is 4. The institutional quarantine cases recorded today in the city is 2.

Total Covid-19 cases in Cuttack city are 45,407 while the recovered cases are 44,790. The active cases today are 526.

In the last 24 hours, Cuttack city has reported 12 recovered cases while in Bhubaneswar 80 recovered cases were registered.

A total of 112 Covid-19 positive cases including 17 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours.

Among the 112 positives, 67 are quarantine cases and 45 are local contacts.
