Twin City Covid Update: 47 new covid positive cases detected in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack reports 5 cases

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has reported 47 new covid positive cases as on December 25. On the other hand, Cuttack city (CMC area) has reported 5 positive cases today.

According to reports by BMC, out of the total 47 positive cases detected today, 8 positive cases are quarantine cases while local contact cases are 39. The positive cases linked with earlier positive cases are 8.

The total cases in Bhubaneswar now stand at 1, 23,262 while the total recovered cases are 1, 21,292. The total death cases recorded in the BMC is 1095.  Active cases in the city are 854.

As reported on Saturday by CMC, out of the 5 new cases reported, a single case of local contact case was registered. The total case from home quarantine is 3. The institutional quarantine cases recorded today in the city is 1.

Total Covid-19 cases in Cuttack city are 45,395 while the recovered cases are 44,781. The active cases today are 523.

In the last 24 hours, Cuttack city has reported 18 recovered cases while in Bhubaneswar 106 recovered cases were registered.

A total of 124 Covid-19 positive cases including 17 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours. This has taken the tally of Covid to 10,53,769 informed the Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Saturday.

Among the 124 positives, 75 are quarantine cases and 49 are local contacts.
