Twin City Covid-19 Update: BMC reports 4 positive cases while CMC reports 1 case today

Bhubaneswar: As on April 8, 2022 the Covid-19 cases in BMC and CMC continue to remain below 10. The capital city of Odisha has recorded 4 positive cases today. On the other hand, Cuttack reported 1 positive case.

According to reports by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 4 positive cases that were reported today were local contact cases.

With today’s development, the total Covid-19 positive cases have increased to 1,56,525. The recovered cases are 1,55,161. The total deceased cases are 1191. At present, the active Covid-19 cases in Bhubaneswar stand at 152. The recovered cases in BMC in the last 24 hours are 4.

A single Covid19 case was reported in the CMC area. The case was a local contact case. The total cases in CMC are 56,031 while the recovered cases are 55,580. The active cases are 22 while the number of deaths is 429.

Odisha on Friday reported 22 new Covid cases including 4 in the 0-18 years, informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department. The positive tally stands at 12,87,823.

Reportedly, among the 22 positives, 14 patients are in quarantine, and 8 are local contacts. The active cases in Odisha currently stand at 208.

Khordha, Cuttack and Sambalpur recorded the highest with four positives followed by Balangir with two positives. One Covid positive case has been recorded in Balasore, Bhadrak, Gajapati, Jajpur, Nuapada, Sonepur, Sundargarh, and State Pool each.
