Twin City Covid 19 Update: Bhubaneswar reports 210 positive cases while Cuttack reports 41 cases today

Bhubaneswar: As on July 8, 2022 the Covid-19 cases in BMC and CMC has significantly increased. The capital city of Odisha has recorded 210 positive cases today. On the other hand, Cuttack city reported 41 positive cases.

According to reports by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 210 positive cases that were reported today were local contact cases.

With today’s development, the total Covid-19 positive cases have increased to 1,58,445. The recovered cases are 1,56,473. The total deceased cases are 1193. At present, the active Covid-19 cases in Bhubaneswar stand at 758. The recovered cases in BMC in the last 24 hours are 85.

Similarly, 41 new Covid19 cases were reported in the CMC area. 22 cases were local contact cases while 16 cases were from home quarantine. 3 cases in the city are Institutional Quarantine cases. The total cases in CMC have reached 56,418. The active cases are 226 while the total number of deaths is 429. The recovered cases in 24 hours are 22.

Odisha on Friday continues to witness an increase in daily Covid cases across different districts of the State and recorded above 400 positives for the third consecutive day.

According to the data shared by the Information & Public Relations Department, as many as 470 new positives were reported in 19 districts and the State Pool. A total of 428 persons were infected with the virus on Thursday.

There are 49 children in the 0-18 age group. Out of the total 470 cases, 276 are quarantine cases while the rest 194 are local contacts. Currently, there are 2487 active cases in the State.
