Twin City Covid-19 update:  136 new cases reported in Bhubaneswar while Cuttack records 43 cases

Bhubaneswar: 136 new Covid-19 cases have been registered in the capital city of Odisha on February 11. On the other hand, Cuttack city (CMC area) recorded 43 covid-19 positive cases today

According to reports by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), out of the total 136 positive cases registered today, 23 cases are quarantine cases while 113 cases are local contact cases.

With today’s development, the total Covid-19 positive cases have increased to 1,55,197. The recovered cases are 1,44,962. The total number of deceased cases are 1156. At present, the active Covid-19 cases in Bhubaneswar stand at 9058.

In the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC area) 43 new Covid-19 cases were registered. While 11 cases were Institutional quarantine cases, 16 cases were home quarantine cases. As many as 16 local contact cases were recorded today.

The total cases in CMC are 55,795 while the recovered cases are 54,986. Active cases today are 380 while the deaths are 429.

The recovered cases in BMC and CMC today are 870 and 131 respectively.

Odisha reported 1,572 fresh cases of Covid including 309 in the 0-18 years age group, informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Friday.

Reportedly, among the 1,572 positives, 918 patients are in quarantine, and 654 are the local contacts. As many as 14,253 Covid cases are still active in Odisha.
