Balangir: In a shocking road mishap, driver of a truck went missing after it skidded off a bridge over Tel river in Tusura here and plunged into the water today.
The incident took place in the morning when the truck was en-route to Balangir from Kalahandi district carrying a coal consignment. It is suspected that a tyre burst caused the driver to lost control over the wheels of the vehicle post which it hit the parapet to fall into the river.
While fire services personnel rushed to the spot and launched efforts to bring out the driver trapped inside the sinking truck, they had not been succeeded till this report was being filed.
