Angul: In a tragic incident, two persons were killed while three others were critically injured after a truck collided head on with a car in the district this noon.
According to reports, a speeding truck hit a car (CG 10FA 6501) from front near Tukuda College under Jarapada police limits of the district.
While Ashok Prusty and Hemant Prusty of Salepur area were killed on the spot, four others were severely injured in the accident. They were rescued and rushed to the district headquarters hospital by the locals.
Jarapada police, on being informed, rushed to the spot and sent the bodies to the hospital for postmortem. The cops also have started an investigation into the matter.
