Sambalpur: A transgender was allegedly killed in Andharipatra village in Sambalpur late on Wednesday night.
The deceased has been identified as Firoz Chhatria. The person was a resident of Kadampada in Cuttack.
Reportedly, Firoz’s throat was slit with a sharp object and murdered following which the body was dumped.
The locals spotted the dead body and informed the local police this morning. On getting the information, the cops arrived at the spot and recovered the body.
An investigation has been initiated into the matter to ascertain the exact cause behind the murder.
