Transformer stolen in Odisha’s Boudh district

Boudh: An electric transformer was stolen in Pairbandh village in Dapala Panchayat under Manamunada Police limits in Boudh district of Odisha yesterday night.

Reportedly, the residents of the village were sleeping at night when the electricity went off. The residents thought it to be a power failure and kept waiting for the power supply.

However, the power supply did not resume till morning when they found that it was not a power failure, rather the whole transformer had been stolen.

The villagers have submitted a written complaint today with the Electricity Executive Engineer of Manamunda. They have demanded the installation of a new transformer in the village.
