Jharsuguda: In a daylight robbery, a trader was looted of Rs 10 lakh at gunpoint in his godown near the bypass here in Odisha on Thursday.
The victim has been identified as Shankar Kedia, owner of ‘Sheraya traders’ in the district headquarter town here.
According to reports, three unidentified miscreants barged into the godown, held him at gunpoint and asked to handover all the money from the cash counter.
Soon after the incident, the miscreants fled from the spot.
On being informed, local police reached the spot and began investigation into the matter.
Following the robbery, the traders in the town are living in fear and have demanded the police to arrest the accused at the earliest.
