Trader Attacked For Resisting Loot Bid In Odisha

Angul: A local trader was attacked with sharp edged weapons for resisting loot bid by two miscreants near Panigola under Banarpal police station limits in the district today.

As per reports, the victim identified as Bipin Bihari Nayak (32) was returning from the daily market on his scooter when two miscreants intercepted him.

The miscreants opened fire in air to terrorize Nayak and later tried to loot cash. They later assaulted him with sharp edged weapon when he resisted the loot bid. The miscreants failed to loot any cash from him.

Nayak with left hand was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
