Tito ran cattle smuggling racket: Odisha police

Bhubaneswar: Odisha police on Thursday unearthed gangster Syed Usman Ali alias Tito’s involvement in major illegal cattle trafficking racket.

According to reports, the Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch exposed the link after arresting two of his aides – Batkrishna Pani (45) aka Batu and Saro Pati (31) today.

While Pani was zeroed in on at Kalinga Vihar area here Pati was nabbed from Kendrapara district.

STF DIG Himanshu Lal informed that they had seized a pistol along with an expensive and four other vehicles from Pani’s possession.

STF SP Satyajeet Naik informed that both the accused were running Tito’s illegal cattle transportation network in Odisha and few other states.

Besides, Tito was transporting cattle to Bangladesh for the last eight years, said sources.
