Malkangiri: A tiger cub has been killed on the railway track as a train ran over it in Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh on the borders of Malkangiri district.
According to reports, the feet of the cub were entangled when it was passing over the railway tracks, through Gandia Resereve Forest. A train dashed against the cub and it died on the spot.
The cub had been accompanied by its mother tigress and another cub. They all were in search food and hence were out on the tracks.
It has been alleged that if the Railway Department had complied with the rules on the speed of train within the Reserve Forest, then the animals would have been much safer.
